A family-run set design, set build, prop sourcing and backdrop hire company, bringing over 25 years of creative industry experience to productions across the UK and beyond.

At the heart of Blackhurst & Co are Patrick and Sophie, a father-and-daughter team with creativity and craftsmanship running through generations. Patrick learned his craft from his father, an art school-trained painter, before Sophie followed in his footsteps, building her own career in design.

Today, from our Liverpool base, we work alongside our in-house team and trusted freelancers to design and create bespoke sets, props and hand-painted backdrops for brands, agencies, photographers and production teams across sport, fashion, music and commercial productions.

Combining traditional craftsmanship with creative problem-solving, our team is passionate about transforming ideas and spaces into something unique. From initial concept through to final installation, we work closely with our clients to understand the brief, solve problems and bring creative concepts to life, wherever the brief takes us.
